Monday’s program is open to everyone – with an agenda designed to paint a picture of Climate Change. Don’t miss Dr. Lara Hansen introduction to the global causes and effects of climate change and a look at the power of considering both traditional knowledge and science to understand climate change presented by author Charles Wholforth (The Whale and the Supercomputer).

Monday afternoon ’s presenters explore topics including the region’s fisheries, sea birds, oceanographic trends, and the changing status of marine mammals throughout the Region.

On Tuesday and Wednesday , Coastal Community for Science partners and invited scientists will meet in facilitated small group sessions. On Tuesday we’ll develop climate change monitoring and adaptation strategies for marine mammals, salmon, and other important species. Wednesday morning’s “Climate Leadership” sessions will develop strategies to empower communities and individuals to effectively address the changes that may lie ahead.
